If you play MCPE, check out the best shaders for it over here: Best MCPE shaders 2018.

1. SEUS v10.1 (Ultra)

Download from: Minecraft Forum
Performance requirement: Medium

The SEUS v10.1 shaders is usually the first shader pack that I recommend to people who are looking for their first shaders mod. It has an average impact on your Minecraft’s performance, and it looks absolutely beautiful. It should run around 40-60 fps on laptops and low-end desktop computers, which is pretty good. On high-end computers you will have no lag at all.

2. SEUS v11

Download from: Minecraft Forum
Performance requirement: Extreme

The SEUS v11 is SEUS v10.1’s big brother. The performance hungry, epic looking brother. It has somewhat similar look to v10.1, but the clouds are really beautiful and overall the graphics look better. To use this shader you need a really good computer, even on my GTX 1070 and i5-6400 I get around 50-80 fps with this shader, which is low compared to the 100-170 fps I get with SEUS v10.1 shaders.

3. Sildurs Vibrant Shaders v1.17 (High)

Download from: Minecraft Forum
Performance requirement: Medium

Really colorful, almost fantasy looking shader for Minecraft. The Sildurs Vibrant Shaders really does live up to it’s name – it’s vibrant. The performance requirement is somewhat similar to SEUS v10.1, so depending on what kind of a look you want in your Minecraft, the Sildurs Vibrant Shader is a great choice.

4. Continuum v1.3

Download from: Continuum’s site
Performance requirement: Extreme

I haven’t really used Continuum v1.3 that much because it performs so poorly on my GTX 1070 and i5-6400. It gives me worse fps than SEUS v11 does, and it looks somewhat similar to it. I personally prefer the look of SEUS v11 when compared to Continuum. If you stole NASA’s supercomputer, maybe give this shader a try, though.

5. Chocapic13 V6 (Ultra)

Download from: Minecraft Forum
Performance requirement: Medium

Very similar shader to Sildur’s Vibrant Shader,  but better frame rates (at least on medium quality). I don’t really have opinion on Chocapic13’s shaders, I haven’t used them that much. Watch the video at the top of this comparison and build your own opinion!

6. Robobo1221’s v7.1 (Ultra)

Download from: Paradox Forum
Performance requirement: High

Somewhat niche shader, it’s quite dark and not really vibrant, so it gives a quite dark feeling in Minecraft. I’m currently filming a cinematic Minecraft video using it, and it really gives a great atmosphere for the video. As for regular gameplay, I don’t really think I would play with this shader.

7. Chocapic13 v7 (Low)

Download from: Minecraft Forum
Performance requirement: Very low

If you are playing on a low-end laptop or desktop, give this shader a try! It performs so much better than the other shaders on this list.

8. Conquest of The Sun

Download from: Minecraft Forum
Performance requirement: High to medium

The Conquest of The Sun shader is meant to be played with the Conquest texture pack. It does look pretty good with it, so if you’re into medieval builds, give it a try! My fps with this shader depended a lot on the environment I was in, but it was mostly around 60-100 fps with GTX 1070 and i5-6400.

9. Sushi Shader v2

Download from: Minecraft Forum
Performance requirement: Medium

I had never heard of Sushi Shader before I made this shader comparison. It looked interesting, so I decided to include it! Sushi Shader v2 has a deep blue tint or saturation boost, that is a bit too much for my liking. However, in the TOP 9 shaders video there are many comments praising Sushi Shader v2 as the best in the video, so clearly some people love it.
